Gari Lamar Askew II is a documentary photographer based in Los Angeles, CA. A self-taught artist, he begun his career working in film & music video production under the influence of such directors as Dave Meyers, Benny Boom & Jeremy Rall as well as photographers Martin Scholler, Jonathan Mannion & Anthony Mandler. In 2007 he begun his career as a professional while touring with musician John Mayer during part of the Continuum Tour. In the years since Gari's work has been a constant progression & evolution. His work has been commissioned by Nike, Incase, Adobe, Sony Music, Columbia Records as well as editorial publications including Rolling Stone, TV Guide and XXL Magazine.
